1. Availability
We provide food 365 days of the year, from 9 am to 9 pm. Plenty of places close at 5 pm or earlier, but hunger doesn’t stop at 5 pm or go away at the weekend. We can provide food most of the day, every single day of the year.
2. No unnecessary or intrusive questions
We recognise that it can be difficult enough asking for food. We would rather not make that experience any more difficult by asking questions about people’s personal circumstances. Although we do ask our clients a few questions, this is always with the intention of helping them as best we can.
3. Our services are completely free
Money should never be a barrier to someone being able to access basic food.
4. We’re cashless
We do not accept any cash whatsoever. Any donations or other exchanges of money, whether it’s 50p or £50, must take place via bank transfer. This ensures transparency.
5. No paperwork required
Some food banks require a food bank voucher to access their services. Many people who need food don’t know how to access these vouchers easily or quickly enough. That is why we want to make our service as accessible as possible, so that even those without a phone, internet connection, or wider support services can still get the food they need.
